Financial Secretary John Tsang has said the clearance of Admiralty protest site has had a positive effect on the local economy.
Speaking to reporters at the airport after a visit to the Middle East, he noted that it is good news for retailers in the affected areas and small and medium enterprises.
Mr Tsang said Hong Kong people are happy that the roads have been re-opened and that their lives can return to normal.
He added that the Government will closely monitor the relevant economic statistics to evaluate the impact the movement has had on the city's economy.
