Traffic trouble:  Assistant Commissioner for Transport Albert Su warns of continued congestion.

Assistant Commissioner for Transport Albert Su has forecast that congestion on Hong Kong Island will continue as protesters are still blocking major roads, affecting east-west traffic flow.

Speaking at a press conference today, Mr So said that a 7km traffic jam was reported on Gloucester Road at 7.45am.

He said eight bus routes remain suspended, with 218 rerouted.

Tram services between Percival Street and Victoria Park are yet to resume.
