Chief Executive CY Leung has given assurances that a complaint about Police officers using excessive force will be handled according to established procedures in an objective manner.

Mr Leung told reporters today the Government is concerned about the complaint, adding there is a mechanism and procedures to handle it.

He said Police took action last night after protesters ran onto Lung Wo Road and severely disrupted traffic in the area, despite repeated Government appeals for them to leave the streets.
