7 have normal lead levels

November 25, 2015

The latest batch of seven samples taken from people affected by the lead in drinking water issue have been found to have normal levels of lead, the Department of Health announced today.

The samples include six from kindergarten students and one from a public estate resident.

The department will perform lead-exposure assessments for those with borderline lead levels and arrange preliminary developmental assessments for children under 12.

The Hospital Authority will arrange health evaluations for borderline cases aged 12 or above.

People can call the hotline 2125 1122 for enquiries and to make blood-test appointments.

As at 5pm today, the hotline had received 7,883 enquiries and arranged 5,854 blood tests.
