The 'One country, two systems' white paper has not undermined Hong Kong’s autonomy.
This was the message from Chief Secretary Carrie Lam today, telling reporters the paper is a comprehensive, clear and accurate description of the implementation of the ‘One country, two systems’ principle in Hong Kong.
She said the paper is worth reading and encouraged the public to study it.
As the chairman of the Steering Committee on the Promotion of Basic Law, she said she has encouraged committee members to use the paper to promote a better understanding of the Basic Law.
