Special DC poll stations announced

Near Boundary Polling Stations will be set up at two schools near MTR Sheung Shui Station, including one at Hong Kong Taoist Association Tang Hin Memorial Secondary School.
The Government today announced the setting up of Near Boundary Polling Stations (NBPSs) to make it easier for electors living on the Mainland to cast their votes in the 2023 District Council Ordinary Election on December 10.
The NBPSs, located at two schools near MTR Sheung Shui Station, will be open to electors who are registered to vote in any District Council geographical constituency.
Pre-registration will be required and registrations will be capped at 38,000, although the Government may consider raising this number if necessary. Registrations will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis.
Electors who wish to participate can pre-register through a dedicated online registration system set up by the Registration & Electoral Office (REO). The registration period is from November 20 at 9am to December 5 at 6pm.
On the online registration system, electors must choose a specific timeslot on polling day to vote. After submitting their application, they will receive a notification of registration from the REO via SMS and email. This notification is required in order to vote at the polling stations.
Electors voting in Hong Kong Island and Kowloon geographical constituencies should vote at Hong Kong Taoist Association Tang Hin Memorial Secondary School, while electors voting in New Territories geographical constituencies are to vote at Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Kap Yan Directors’ College.
Electors are required to present their Hong Kong identity cards or another recognised proof of identity for verification on polling day.
Those intending to vote may log in to the Online Voter Information Enquiry System to ascertain whether they are registered as an elector.
The Government said there will be no polling arrangements at either of the NBPSs for District Committee electors, adding that such electors, if they are on the Mainland, should plan to return to Hong Kong as early as possible to cast their votes on polling day.
For enquiries, email reoenq@reo.gov.hk or call the REO hotline on 2891 1001. The hotline is in operation from 8.45am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
