Military tattoo to be held

Military bands from the Mainland and overseas will perform in Hong Kong next week as part of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's 20th anniversary celebrations.

 

Bands from the People's Liberation Army, including the Hong Kong Garrison Guard of Honour, will join ensembles from Mongolia, the Netherlands, Russia, Scotland and the US for the International Military Tattoo.

 

The Hong Kong Police Band, the Hong Kong Association of Choral Societies and Studiodanz will also take part in the programme, presented by the Home Affairs Bureau and organised by the Leisure & Cultural Services Department.

 

It will be held at 8pm from July 13 to 15 at the Hong Kong Coliseum.

 

An outdoor carnival will also be held on July 15 and 16 at the Cultural Centre.

 

Tickets are $150 and $250 at URBTIX.

 

Meet-the-bands activities will be held at 7pm before each performance in the Hong Kong Coliseum Piazza.

 

A two-day outdoor carnival will be held from 2.30pm to 5.30pm on July 15 and 16 in the Cultural Centre Piazza featuring game stalls and performances by selected visiting military bands and representatives from local disciplined services. Admission is free.
