Secretary for Development Michael Wong visited Sham Shui Po today under the Celebrations for All project.
He visited two elderly residents and a family in Un Chau Estate to learn about their living conditions and to give them gift packs.
Mr Wong then met with District Councillors to hear their suggestions about the Government’s work and to discuss issues of concern for residents.
He also visited the Jao Tsung-I Academy to learn about the conservation, revitalisation and operation of the Grade 3 historic building.
Mr Wong said meeting with Sham Shui Po residents will help him cater to the district's needs when formulating policies.
He added he hopes to visit more districts to get a good grasp of public sentiment.
