A total of 826 of the 833 blood samples taken from public estate residents affected by lead in drinking water have been found to contain normal levels of lead, the Department of Health announced today.
The remaining seven residents, all children, are on borderline raised levels. They are in the range of 5.3 to 8.6 micrograms per decilitre, indicating potential health risks.
The department will perform lead exposure assessments on these residents and arrange preliminary developmental assessments for those under 12.
The Hospital Authority will arrange health evaluations for them.

As at 5pm today, the hotline had received 7,550 enquiries and arranged 4,754 blood tests.
