Winning photos to go on show

June 08, 2014

The Commissioner for Heritage's Office will hold roving photo exhibitions showing 14 award-winning Hong Kong projects from the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation from June 13 to December 31.

The Development Bureau wants to enhance public awareness of these award-winning projects by showcasing their achievements in heritage conservation.

The projects include the Savannah College of Art & Design (Hong Kong), formerly the North Kowloon Magistracy, and the Tai O Heritage Hotel, which was the old Tai O Police Station. They were revitalised under the bureau’s historic buildings partnership scheme.

The exhibitions will display stunning pictures of 14 antique buildings, along with information relating to their historical and architectural features.

People can also visit the buildings at selected opening hours and join free guided tours.
