Chief Executive CY Leung says the Government has taken prompt action to tackle lead-tainted water since the incident came to light.

He told reporters before an Executive Council meeting today that the Government measures included distributing bottled water to affected housing estate residents, installing new water pipes and delivering water to residents who could not walk.

Mr Leung also said he agreed with the views Chief Secretary Carrie Lam expressed in the Legislative Council last week on the lead-tainted water issue.
