Members of the Central & Western and Southern District councils joined local residents this morning to call on protesters in Admiralty to re-open main roads.

Central & Western District Councillor Stephen Chan noted that there had been complaints by residents about prolonged road blocks caused by the protests that had greatly affected traffic and their daily lives.

Mr Chan said that while he respected the protesters’ rights, he also hoped that they could listen to the residents and pass on their views to organisers of the Occupy Central movement.
