Secretary for Food & Health Dr Ko Wing-man has advised protesters to consider their health and safety while participating in the Occupy Central sit-in.
Speaking to the media after attending a public function today, Dr Ko said he is concerned about the protest as large gatherings of people pose a health and safety risk.
With the very hot weather Hong Kong is currently experiencing, he reminded protesters to drink plenty of water to prevent heat stroke and to avoid staying directly in the sun.
He said no-one wants to see any protesters or Police injured in the protest.
