Shanghai tour bolsters understanding

Chief Executive CY Leung said his visit with Legislative Council members to Shanghai is a good opportunity for them to learn about the city, and the country’s development.
Mr Leung was speaking from Shanghai today, where he attended a meeting between the LegCo delegation and CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee Secretary Han Zheng.
He said co-operation between Hong Kong and Shanghai continues, and the new Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect pilot programme Premier Li Keqiang announced at the Boao Forum for Asia this week will boost both cities’ capital markets.
Mr Leung and the delegation visited the Shanghai Hongqiao Central Business District and the Integrated Transportation Hub, and a Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China manufacturing site.
