Terms of Reference
The Advisory Committee on Certification of Operators of Specified Plants and Equipment (ACCOSPE) is established to advise the Commissioner for Labour on matters concerning the accreditation of training bodies and syllabuses of training courses for operators of specified plants and equipment such as cranes, suspended working platforms, etc. under the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance (Cap. 59). Such matters also include the following items -- to advise on the criteria of accreditation of training bodies for training of operators of specified plants and equipment referred to in the Ordinance;
- to advise on any conditions which may be imposed in relation to the accreditation of such training bodies;
- to advise on the syllabuses of training courses conducted by accredited training bodies; and
- to advise on the cancellation or suspension of accreditation of such training bodies.
