Heritage building exhibition set

A roving exhibition featuring 12 projects under the first four batches of the Revitalising Historic Buildings Through Partnership Scheme will be held from November 19 to December 31.

 

Organised by the Development Bureau's Commissioner for Heritage's Office (CHO), the aim of the roving exhibition is to promote the conservation of historic buildings and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

 

The 12 projects include Tai O Heritage Hotel, Hong Kong Baptist University School of Chinese Medicine - Lui Seng Chun, YHA Mei Ho House Youth Hostel, Jao Tsung-I Academy (former Lai Chi Kok Hospital), Green Hub, Stone Houses Family Garden, Viva Blue House, Hong Kong News-Expo, The HKFYG Leadership Institute, The Pokfulam Farm, Tai Hang Fire Dragon Heritage Centre and the Lady Ho Tung Welfare Centre Eco-Learn Institute.

 

The public is welcome to visit the exhibitions and the historic buildings. Guided tours at such historic buildings are offered for free on a first come, first served basis.

 

Additionally, starting November 9, roving exhibition pamphlets will be distributed at the historic buildings as well as the roving exhibition venues.

 

Other distribution outlets are the Museum of History, the Heritage Discovery Centre, the Museum of Art, the Science Museum, the Space Museum, the Heritage Museum, the Ping Shan Tang Clan Gallery & Heritage Trail Visitors Centre, the Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum, the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware, Sam Tung Uk Museum, PMQ, the Cattle Depot, the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals' temples, at the airport and the Tourism Board's visitor centres located in Tsim Sha Tsui and at the airport.

 

Both organised by the CHO, the roving exhibition and “Heritage Vogue · Hollywood Road” will jointly promote the conservation of historic buildings. People can collect stamps at the exhibition at One International Finance Centre and the 12 booths of the projects under the scheme at the Prison Yard at Tai Kwun on November 20.

 

With a full set of 13 stamps, they can redeem a limited edition postcard set at the CHO's booth at Tai Kwun. Postcard redemption is only available on a first come, first served basis on that day.
