The sixth-term Chief Executive Election Returning Officer Keith Yeung announced that a total of one nomination form, from John Lee, was received by the close of today’s nomination period.

The Candidate Eligibility Review Committee will, within seven days after the nomination closure, publish in the Gazette a notice on the validity of the nomination.

The notice will carry the names of the validly nominated candidate and the names of the Election Committee members nominating the candidate.

The nomination period runs from April 3 to 16. As April 15 and 16 are both general holidays, the deadline for submitting the nomination form was 5pm today.
